Meet the Founding Dancers
AdrienneAdrienne Weidert is a professional swing dance instructor, performer & National Jitterbug Champion who shines onstage. A New York City transplant from sunny Southern California, Adrienne made her NYC performance debut with The Public Theater's production of “The Comedy of Errors” at Shakespeare in the Park in 2013. While her classical dance foundation is rooted in training with the Milwaukee Ballet, Boston Ballet, and London's Royal Ballet School, this ballerina-gone-Jitterbug is passionate about America's Great Jazz Age and the dances that were born in NYC in the early 20th Century. She has been teaching, competing, and performing swing dance since 1996 with several top professional dance partners in the national circuit. In addition to teaching at You Should Be Dancing...! Dance Studio, Adrienne has performed around NYC at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Lincoln Center's "Midsummer Night Swing," B.B. Kings Blues Club, Swing 46 Supper Club, the Paramount's Diamond Horseshoe, the Historic Battleship Intrepid at Pier 84, the Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center, and on Governor's Island at the semi-annual Jazz Age Lawn Party.

RachelRachel McMullin is known for the joy and expressiveness she brings to her dancing. Rooted in Musical Theater dance technique she continued down another performing arts path by taking up partner dancing after receiving her degree in Theatre from NYU/Tisch. Over the last twelve years, Rachel has honed her swing skills studying lindy hop, balboa, shag, Charleston, and solo jazz movement. In addition to being a swing instructor at You Should Be Dancing…! for the last ten years Rachel has taught at many venues around town including Swing 46, Swing Remix at the JCC, and Midsummer Night’s Swing at Lincoln Center. As a performer, Rachel was seen onstage in the 2013 Shakespeare in the Park production of The Comedy of Errors as well as various area venues including the Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center, the Intrepid Battleship, the Diamond Horseshoe and Harrah's Atlantic City. She has danced for Gatsby Entertainment, Astarte Creative, Shanghai Mermaid, The Rhythm Stompers, The Lindy Hop All Stars, and Gaby Galore’s Sugar Shakers.

Stina
Stina Dallons has been swing dancing and performing solo jazz for nearly 10 years, both socially and professionally. Originally a musical theater performer, she transitioned from acting to dancing with ease. She performed with stars like Ken Page and Todrick Hall. Stina has competed nationally and performed on the Apollo Stage in Harlem, NY. as well as the Rainbow Room, at the Intrepid, the Diamond Horseshoe, the BB King Jazz Club, and Carnegie Hall. She is also a professional tap dancer and her first instructor was a Rockette from the 1940's. Stina is now an instructor at You Should Be Dancing Dance studio, alongside the other Bathtub Ginnys. Aside from dancing and choreographing, Stina also sews costumes for the Bathtub Ginnys. You can see her performing with the Rhythm Stompers, the Lindy Hop All Stars, the Brooklyn Bombshell Review, and the Sugar Shakers, or traveling the world with Uncommon Rhythm, a Lindy Hop television show. |
